Mr. Bundy conceived Atlas as a public policy initiative in 2016. He currently serves as Atlas Capital Team L.P.’s Chief Executive Officer and Chair of N.O.A. LLC., Atlas Capital Team UK Ltd, and Atlas Charitable Endeavors. Prior to Atlas, Mr. Bundy was the founder and CEO of IronPlanet, the leading online inspection-based marketplace focused on the used capital goods market, which was sold to Ritchie Bros for $758 million in 2016. Mr. Bundy has also Co-founded and served as the Managing Director of Provence Capital, a private development venture capital group which leveraged capital, proven technology, and a global network of relationships to support local business and infrastructure in emerging markets. During his career, Mr. Bundy was the lead research analyst for Bain Willard Companies (founded by Bill Bain of Bain & Co.), Entrepreneur in-Residence for Kleiner Perkins Caufield & Byers and Accel Partners, and worked for the Economist Intelligence Unit, the International Herald Tribune, and ABC News in the Middle East. Mr. Bundy has previously been on the board of directors of the Atlantic Council and the board of Rand Corporation’s African First Ladies Initiative.
Nouriel Roubini is CEO of Roubini Macro Associates LLC, a global macroeconomic consultancy firm in New York. He is also Chief Economist for Atlas Capital Team LP and Co Founder of Rosa & Roubini Associates. He served as a professor of economics at NYU’s Stern School of Business from 1995 to 2021, and prior to this served on the faculty of Yale University’s economics department. He Co Founded Roubini Global Economics from 2005 to 2016 – a firm whose website was named one of the best economics web resources by Forbes, the Wall Street Journal, and the Economist. From 1998 to 2000, he served as the White House’s senior economist for international affairs at the Council of Economic Advisors and later as senior advisor to the U.S. Treasury Department’s undersecretary for international affairs. Dr. Roubini received an undergraduate degree at Bocconi University in Milan, and a doctorate in economics at Harvard University.
Mr. Agarwal is Chief Information Officer of Atlas Capital Team L.P. He is responsible for quantitative asset allocation, data and machine learning, as well as digitization efforts. Previous to joining Atlas, Mr. Agarwal was at Goldman Sachs for fourteen years as Managing Director and Head of Corporate Derivative Analytics in the Investment Banking Division, and also held a leadership position in the Investment Banking Engineering organization. In his role at Goldman Sachs, Mr. Agarwal was called upon by CFOs and Treasurers of large corporations to opine on their own market risks – ranging from Currency, Interest Rates, Commodities, Inflation, and Equities – in the context of M&A and Capital Markets activity, and advising on optimal risk management and hedging strategies. Prior to joining Goldman Sachs, Mr. Agarwal was at Lehman Brothers where he was a currency options trader responsible for trading correlation products in Emerging Market currencies. Mr. Agarwal received an MBA from the University of Chicago (2004) and prior to that, he completed his Engineering from the University of Pune (1997). Mr. Agarwal is based in New York City, New York.
Carlo Zola is an investment professional with over 19 years of active experience in the financial markets. Mr. Zola is Italian and holds a BA in Economics from Bocconi University in Milan, Italy, where he graduated Summa cum Laude in 2002 and a Master’s degree in management from CEMS, the Community of European Management Schools which he attended at ESADE in Barcelona, Spain. Mr. Zola started his professional career in 2002 as a research analyst at Intermonte SIM in Milan, the leading independent Italian investment bank. In 2004, Mr. Zola started working at the largest fund management company in the world with over $2 trillion under management, Capital Group, where he held positions as analyst and portfolio manager in Los Angeles, New York, Toronto and London. Over 14 years at Capital Group, Mr. Zola successfully managed a portfolio of over $1bn in assets, with responsibilities in global and income mandates as well as more focused mandates in Media, Metals and Mining, Chemicals and Real Estate (REITs). During the last 3 years at Capital, Mr. Zola also served as Research Portfolio Coordinator (RPC) overseeing investments by a team of over 20 analysts for one of its Growth and Income funds. An early investor in crypto currencies, Mr. Zola left Capital Group in 2018 and has been a founding partner at Paladin Trust, a leading Trust and Custodian business dedicated to the crypto markets founded in 2018. Since January 2020, Mr. Zola is a founding partner at Percival Ventures, an investment firm based in Puerto Rico, focused on early stage blockchain investments and crypto currencies. Mr. Zola is fluent in English, Italian, Spanish and Portuguese.
Mr. Barker-Ward is the Chief Trading Officer of Atlas Capital Team UK Ltd. Previously, he was the founder and CEO of FME Asset Management, which he launched in 2013 as a systematic intraday quant fund. FME Asset Management was spun out of Financial Market Engineering Ltd, a City of London based market making and high frequency proprietary trading company specialising in providing liquidity to the derivatives markets globally, which Mr. Barker-Ward founded in 2000 and was CEO until 2012, growing the company to some 30+ employees and trading 20+ million contracts annually. FME specialises in interest rate derivatives but has also traded a wide range of securities; FX, equities, energy, sovereign bonds, commodities and more. During his tenure as CEO, Mr. Barker-Ward also worked closely with exchanges, sitting on various steering committees and consulting on product design. Mr. Barker-Ward began his career in finance in 1995 as a pit trader on the London International Financial Futures Exchange (LIFFE). During his time on LIFFE, Mr. Barker-War traded successfully on his own account as a corporate local as well becoming a founding partner in a brokerage operation.
Mr. Agbaje is the Business Analyst of Atlas Capital LP. He is an investment professional with over five years’ experience cut across investment banking, portfolio management and private equity. He started his career at Meristem Securities Limited, a boutique financial services conglomerate in Nigeria where he advised clients on M&A’s and other strategic transactions while in the investment banking team. He also worked in the portfolio management unit where he managed clients portfolios in equities and fixed income instruments in Nigeria. In 2019, Mr. Agbaje joined Atlas Mara Limited, an investment company formed to undertake the acquisition of banks in Africa. While at Atlas Mara, he worked with the strategic investments and corporate development team where he executed various M&A transactions across African banks. Mr. Agbaje holds a first-class bachelor’s degree in Accounting and Finance from Lancaster University and is a CFA Charterholder. He is based in Lagos, Nigeria.
Dr. Nishimura is a non executive member of Atlas Capital Team L.P.’s Investment Committee. Dr. Nishimura is a senior advisor of the Asian Economic Panel, an emeritus professor of economics and distinguished project research fellow at the University of Tokyo, a senior professor in the National Graduate Institute for Policy Studies (GRIPS), and has been a member of the Board of Trustees of Japan Women’s University since April 2016. He was formerly chairman of the Statistics Commission of the Government of Japan, which oversees the official statistics of Japan, and he is leading a sweeping reform of economic statistics in Japan (2014-2019). Over his career, Dr. Nishimura was Dean of the Graduate School of Economics and chairman of the Faculty of Economics at The University of Tokyo (2013 2015), Deputy Governor of the Bank of Japan from 2008-13, and a Member of the Bank of Japan’s Policy Board (2005–2008). Prior to working for the Bank of Japan, he was executive research fellow of the Economic and Social Research Institute of the Cabinet Office of the Government of Japan (2003-2005). Dr. Nishimura also served on the Faculty of Economics at The University of Tokyo, where he was professor (1994–2005) and associate professor (1983–1994). He was also an Arthur M. Okun Research Fellow (1981 1982) at the Brookings Institution in Washington, D.C. Dr. Nishimura is the author of numerous publications for which he has received a number of accolades, including the Nikkei Prize (1993) for “Imperfect Competition, Differential Information, and Microeconomic Foundations of Macroeconomics,” the Japan Economist Prize (1997) for “Price Revolution,” and the TELECOM Social Science Award in 2006 for “Advancement of Information and Communication Technology and Its Impacts on the Japanese Economy.” He was also the winner of the Japanese Economic Association Nakahara Prize in 1998 and the Emperor’s Medal of Honor with Purple Ribbon in 2015 for his outstanding contributions to theoretical economics. He received his B.A. (1975) and M.A. (1977) from The Atlas, Confidential, Not Intended for Distribution 7 University of Tokyo and his Ph.D. (1982) from Yale University. Mr. Nishimura is based in
Dr. Montanino is a non executive member of Atlas Capital Team L.P.’s Investment Committee. Dr. Montanino is Chairman of Fondo Italiano d’Investimento SGR and he is Chief Economist at Cassa Depositi e Prestiti Group. Previously, Dr. Montanino worked in a number of international institutions: he was Executive Director and member of the Board of the International Monetary Fund, Director of the Global Business and Economics Program at the Atlantic Council in Washington D.C., Senior Economist at the European Commission, DG ECFIN. In Italy, Dr. Montanino was Chief Economist at Confindustria, Director General at the Treasury Department at the Ministry of Economy and Finance, Head of the Technical Secretariat of Minister PadoaSchioppa. During the period at the Treasury, Dr. Montanino chaired the Steering Committee that originated Fondo Italiano d’Investimento and represented the Treasury on the Board of Directors in the first 4 years. Moreover, Dr. Montanino was a member of the Board of Directors of F2i, So.Ge.I., and Vice Chairman of MedioCredito Centrale – Banca del Mezzogiorno. He has a Doctorate in Economics from the University of Rome La Sapienza and a Master Degree from the London School of Economics. Dr. Montanino is based in Rome, Italy.
